Nick worked in publishing until 2006, when he moved from New York to Richmond. His interests include chamber music and opera, Welsh rugby and Welsh Terriers (as unpredictable as each other), coppicing, grandchildren, and the novels of Patrick O’Brian. He used to play the cello, very badly, and has the rare distinction of having been expelled from a village choral society.
Previously Chair of the Swaledale Festival, Nick subsequently became Chair of the Richmondshire Concerts, a position he felt privileged to occupy for seven years.
