For over 75 years Richmondshire Concerts has brought world-class chamber music to the beautiful Swaledale market town of Richmond, North Yorkshire.
Our purpose is to make memorable musical experiences accessible while supporting performers at every stage of their careers, from promising young artists to established international names.
Our members appreciate the great value of our low-cost season tickets and support us year after year, while music lovers from further afield are happy to travel to enjoy artists of exceptional quality. We believe live music matters: it enriches daily life, offers a time of reflection and creates a shared experience which strengthens the sense of community and helps make Richmond a special place to live. A subscription ticket for all 6 of our concerts remains an absolute bargain at just £65.
Single tickets are also available online or at the door for each of our concerts at just £22 or £1 for those in full time education. Concerts are on Saturday evenings at 7.30 pm in the main school hall of Richmond School, Darlington Road, DL10 7BQ. This is a bright, airy and comfortable space with excellent acoustics and clear sight lines, unlike school halls of old. There is ample free parking just outside and refreshments are on sale at the interval.

Our final concert of the Season is on Saturday 11th April – and it’s something rather special. The wonderful Soprano, Penelope Appleyard, will be with us again having been here last Season as part of Fair Oriana. This time round she will be with Jonathan Delbridge and his original Regency Broadwood square piano. Their duo is named The Little Song Party and they will present their Jane Austen themed programme for us. Generously sponsored by Isabel Tooze and Nigel Tooze in memory of Roger Tooze
