Philip was born under the Chiswick flyover in West London, or so the family legend goes. He worked for 30 years in the pharmaceutical and chemical industries, then moved to Richmond in 2003 to run the Castle Hill Bookshop. He was Chair of the Richmond Business & Tourism Association, and helped start the Richmond Walking and Book Festival. Philip enjoys a wide range of music from classical to prog rock. He plays the guitar and attends live music at many local venues. He became RSC's Treasurer in 2012, being only the third person to hold the position in the organisation’s 70 year history. He hopes his tenure will be at least that of his predecessors! [Updated July 2021]
