Meet our Trustees - Janet Hall

The first of a series of posts which introduce the Trustees of the Richmondshire Concerts.

During a career in air traffic control, because Janet didn’t want to be a teacher or secretary, she ended up as an ATC instructor and Secretary of the Guild of ATC Officers where she acquired useful skills in word processing, desk-top publishing and organisation.

Since retiring to North Yorkshire (home territory) Janet has become involved in several musical organisations, and was a board member of Swaledale Festival for 11 years, and is currently Chairman of Richmondshire Choral Society. She also sings with Middlesbrough-based Cleveland Philharmonic Choir and Rectory Chorale, an itinerant traditional Anglican choir, and publishes her local parish and community magazine.

On a personal basis Janet organises occasional group trips to concerts at Sage Gateshead, Middlesbrough Town Hall and Opera North in Leeds; if you'd like to know more about these, Janet can be contacted via [email protected] Her specific role on the Richmondshire Concerts board is publishing the brochures and membership cards and looking after its social media on Twitter and Facebook.
